Research And Implementation Of Drawing And Document Management In Integrated Information Management System

As one of basic components of information management system in design unit, drawing document management system has been adopted by more and more design unit. The traditional system just pays attention to the finished product, instead of the management of dynamic data during the designing process. This issues layout the dynamic management of the data in the drawing and document form design, proofread, auditing, approval to filing and support the data correctness in the life cycle.At first, the paper gives analysis to the theory and technique of Product Data Management(PDM). Based on PDM idea and theoretical technology, the paper makes scientific researches on critical technology of drawing document management. This helps enterprise on drawing document version management, accessing, modifying, deleting, browsing and so on. Finally, the issue achieves the function of the drawing document management subsystem which helps the middle/small scale enterprise to manage their drawing and document in the whole life cycle. Drawing document management is to achieve the goal of manage the drawing and document from design, approval to archiving in projects. In the document management, the method of creating version's number is deeply studied. The paper chooses the binary tree model to create the version number. In order to secure the drawing document, user-authority management module and data vault module are also studied. The system implements the user authority management using Role-Based Access Control(RBAC) model, which assigns different right to different roles and combines the state attribute of drawing and document to control the access and modification of them.Comparing Client/Server with Browse/Server system mode, the paper chooses C/S system mode and chooses NET as developing platform. It is discussed that how to layout and design system framework, what is the major function of engineering drawing and document management system etc. The paper finally achieves a drawing and document management in integrated information management system which adapts to the small/middle design enterprises by using C# language, Visual Studio NET and ADO.NET database access technique. The paper chooses relational database SQL Server 2000 database to build corresponding data table and logical relationship structure. Therefore, the software has been put into practice. The software is a convenience, powerful and easy useful tool for document managers and engineering designers.
