The runout table cooling process is an important step in the last phase of the hot-rolling process. It can reduce the cooling time, increase yield, and more importantly it can significantly improve the comprehensive properties of steel. Prediction model is the basis of the runout table cooling process control and optimization. Based on the finite element model of runout table cooling process, the model software development is not only the basis of virtual experiment for runout table cooling process, but also has great significance for the advanced control strategy of runout table cooling process.After a careful study of the principle of heat transfer and finite element temperature field model of runout table cooling process, this thesis uses Microsoft Visual C++ and OpenGL to develop the PC-based model software. The software can simulate the runout table cooling process, and provide the model for temperature prediction and optimal control of runout table cooling process. The work of this thesis is as follows:First, based on the finite element temperature field model of runout table cooling process and the principle of heat transfer, research is conducted, considering the three-dimensional heat transfer, on the software realization of the boundary conditions of the finite element model and on the problem of speed tracking.Secondly, according to the idea of Software Engineering, the modular design and modular implementation of runout table cooling process finite element model is realized. The software provides input interface of model parameters and control parameters of runout table cooling system, and dynamic simulation of runout table cooling process. The required temperature curves and temperature distribution can be obtained.Last,through the simulation of temperature field in different conditions, a series of experimental results show that the simulation software of runout table cooling process is effective.
