With the development of high education reform and of education management modernization, the scale of running a school is continuous development. The larger scale of our institute, the credit system and the shortage of teaching resources causes the department of student administration to burden much heavier. It becomes the urgent task to develop the high effective system of management of student based on network.ASP.NET is a popular technology of the advanced Active Server Pages (ASP) with high executing speed, simple encoding and high security etc. Owing to these characteristics, it is supported by the small and middle enterprises. In addition, ASP.NET provides a great deal of simple controls, powerful class libraries, and excellent code structures, which makes the systems of ASP.NET possess a fine frame, develop in a short period and expand easily. This thesis makes a good use of the characters of ASP.NET in developing WEB-based applications, draws out experiences from practice and describes the developing process of complete system in detail.With thorough investigation and studies of the student management work, meeting the practical needs of student management, the system of management of student based on ASP.NET and B/S structure has been designed. It includes the management of the information of student, the system management, the management of organization, the change of the status as a student, and so on. The key problems, the encryption of database link configuration, the disposition of complex matter and the design of menu and page bottom, have been solved during studying and developing. The application of this system will undoubtedly reduce the work of student management staffs and liberate them from those complex and hard work, which can meet the institute's demands constantly, and make our institute develop further with information wing.This thesis presents the whole process of implementation from the investigation of business flow to the initial design and detail design, then to the realization of system. Moreover, along with the technology of SQL SERVER 2000 and ADO.NET, the developing principle, characters in function, scheme in design and methods of implementation are expounded in the thesis. It satisfies the primary demand of school network official business. The system has been used in the school. It is shown in practice that the system can improve the efficiency of official business in school.
