The traditional large-scale metrology methods can not meet the growing requirements of industrial measurement, So we need wMPS—Workspace Measurement Pisition System. wMPS carrying forward the traditional merit of large-scale measurement, and using new measurement methods. it is the supplement and development to the traditional methods. wMPS suports multiple targets in real-time measurement, has high accuracy, it can realize totally automatic measurement. wMPS will have broad applications in aerospace, automobiles, ships and other large equipment manufacturing areas.wMPS hardware mainly consists of measurement station and receiver. Using the angle intersection measuring principle, the system can detect the location of the receiver with two or more measurement stations. According to the basic principles of the angle intersection measurement, we need to measure the Azimuth and the Elevation. This thesis discuss the measurement of the Azimuth and the Elevation, and then discuss the mathematical model of the system. Analysis of the system of the sources of error, and the whole system of measurement accuracy of the analysis. This thesis designs the structure of the measurement station based on the power supply, at he same time, this thesis designs designs the reference pulse and a program to control the motor speed.For different measurement tasks, wMPS There are three different types of receivers. This thesis discusss when to begin to count the time, and then designs the structure of the receivers, at last analysis the error.
