Pulse Doppler(PD) processing method, which is widely applied in airborne radar systems, is mainly used in radar systems that detect moving targets under strong clutter background. PD processing method is also necessary for ground radar to suppress ground clutter and weather clutter. However it is difficult to detect targets when the ground radar is working in PD mode, since target echo, being range ambiguous, overlaps with ground clutter. Therefore it is difficult to apply PD mode in ground radar. This thesis mainly study PD processing method in clutter suppression of ground radar. It includes introduction of radar clutter characteristic and clutter suppression methods, design of Pulse Doppler filter bank, realization of Range-Dppler map and algorithms of range and velocity ambiguity resolution. |
