Nowadays, the information exists in everywhere, so the security and the protection of information become more and more important. The protection and security in transmitting of information, somewhat depend on the transforming with the information, while this processing sometime using encryption to realize. A practical problem is how to evaluate an encryption algorithm. This question is important to the validity in protecting information.This article starts from the introduction of block cipher and stream cipher, focuses on the block cipher and stream cipher security analysis, and gives the referenced results in order to achieve the information confidential and secure transmission with a more appropriate encryption algorithm. I designed a security test platform for multi-cipher algorithm, and accomplished its constructing by programming. Through analysis the characteristic of different encryption algorithm, we use the corresponding test plan. In our design, we hope the user only supporting the needed arguments of the test without knowing the detail processing of the test. At the same time, we need to reserve an expanding interface of the platform for the users, which let the users enable to test the unknown cipher algorithm that we provided. For the practicability of these security tests, we did some optimization on the test algorithm and unified the interface which used on the platform.
