It is now the age of system on chip (SoC) in integrated circuit industry as the quick development of deep sub micron semiconductor technology. And the design based on IPs has become the main stream. Microprossor is a very important module in the SoC design. CK-CORE which is developed based on MCore instruction set has been widely applied in many fields as a mature embedded microprocessor core.This dissertation focuses on the design of mobile handwriting control chip and brings the controller of touch screen into the CK-CORE application. Touch screen has enjoyed growing favor among consumers and industry all over the world for its interaction and easy operating. The structure of the chip is designed according to the function and feature defined at the beginning part of the dissertation. CK520 is deployed as microprocessor and AMBA2.0 as main bus. We design the touch sreen controller IP and implement the digital part of it with interface to AMBA bus, on the basis of the controller principle of touch screen. Design other IPs such as memory controller, DMA controller, LCD controller, USB device, Ethernet MAC, etc. Their hardware structure, work principle and points for attention in application are given in the dissertation.After the integration of the system, we set up the platform for verification, write the test cases to verify module function and system connectivity. We do the chip level synthesis after pass the simulation verification and the result shows that the design meets the timing requirement. The funcions of the chip are also verified through the tests on the FPGA board.
