The software developed by component-based method has many advantages such as good encapsulation, high generality, strong portability, short development cycle and end-user-oriented. It is an effective way to develop low-cost aero-engine simulation software. To build a reusable and flexible expansion real-time aero-engine performance simulation platform, aero-engine performance simulation software based on component technology is studied in this paper.Based on the analysis and comparison of three component model criterions, the COM/DCOM criterion is used to develop the aero-engine system simulation software. The requirements of the simulation software are analysed using UML technology. The three-level hiberarchy of component based engine model and generic design methodology are proposed. Engine component codes are designed in details.Algorithms for solving the gas thermodynamic properties equation and co-working equation are studied and the algorithm structures are optimized. The algorithm component used for model is developed. The real-time simulation model is achieved. The aero-engine simulation system is analyzed and designed. The steady-state model and dynamic model are assembled based on the designed engine components and algorithm components. Steady-state and dynamic real-time simulation study are carried out for a dual-rotor turbofan engine. The simulation results show that the engine mathematical model can meet the real-time requirements and has good steady-state and dynamic simulation accuracy.
