Nowadays, with the rapid progress of the Web technology, a number of Hydro-Power plant established the Intranet, or directly accessed to the Internet. In the same time, in the order to run the plant in a modern management pattern, equipped the system of online monitoring and fault diagnosis to the local Hydro-Power generating units, organizing the mature Web technology, and gathering the online monitoring system and local Intranet together, the Hydro-Power plant could fulfill the Remote monitoring system, with this monitor the running status and predict the trend of long periodic development, it will bring more commercial interests. As a brand-new signal processing method, Wavelets analysis obviously plays a leading role in the field of signal checking, signal de-noising and abnormal signal extracting. This paper discusses the special character of MRA(Multi-Resolution Analysis) of wavelet analysis, which is so powerful and flexible to analyze signal, and uses the classic Mallat 2 ways decomposition & restructure algorithm,to satisfy the needs of processing signal of remote monitor system of hydro plants. Using Delphi 2005 as a coding IDE, we can fulfill MRA of wavelets, and then get DB4 to be standard filter, decomposing and de-noising. The result shows this method working efficiently in signal de-noise, meanwhile, the speed of calculating can be adopted by the remote monitor system of hydro plants. This paper mainly discusses: by applying the well-developed and efficiently web tech, the merit of MRA (Multi-Resolution Analysis) of wavelet analysis, when it processes the signal from the system of remote monitor and fault diagnosis, running in the Hydro-Power units, gives more available and reliable analysis result, it also can provide some valuable reference for late development of monitoring system.
