As in the 21st century, the information age, mass media just like a net, in which everybody can not avoid its influence. Mass media has great impact on almost every aspect of the society, which has become the major force of cultural change nowadays. At the same time, mass media has great influence on the parenting pattern of infants in the countryside, as it can make the parenting knowledge spread faster and more convenient, and it can also make the parenting pattern of infants more open and active. All these dispelled the traditional parenting pattern of infants. As an important part of the traditional culture, the parenting pattern of infants has also taken place great changes. From the point of concept, all these changes can be manifested in the following aspects: the concept of valuing boys and looking down upon girls change quietly, the concept of giving a good birth and good care has been intensified step by step, the concept of competition has also been intensified, the concept of collectivism has been weakened. From the point of action, the changes can be manifested in the following aspects: the traditional baby-raising ballad and the folk tale has been forgotten gradually, the traditional game has faded out of the arena of history, the traditional physical labor technique has not attracted people's attention, the tradition ethics education has been weakened, the prevention of disease depends on science, the concept of sanitation has been intensified. From the point of emotion, the changes can be manifested in the following aspects: the change from obedience to democracy, from distrust to respect, from punishment to stimulation, from authority to common custom. Based on the parenting pattern of infants in countryside, especially the experience of growing up of 0-5 year's children, the present paper intends to discuss the mass media and cultural change from the combination of anthropology, sociology and study of propagation. The main part of the paper includes three chapters: chapter one is anthropological report. In this chapter, it mainly describes the various cultural manifestations of the parenting pattern of infants, and also makes a contrast of the different parenting pattern of infants in different cultural background. Chapter two discusses the change of the parenting pattern of infants under mass media. Chapter three discusses how the mass media influence the parenting pattern of infants.
