Research On ITS Information Collection Platform Based On P2P Technology

ITS(Intelligent Transportation System) was brought out to resolve a series of problems in traffic that caused by rapid economy growing , it tried to deal with the problems with Information Technologies. Because of the inherent disadvantages with traditional network architecture , the ITS based on this network architecture faces some performance problems.P2P(Peer to Peer) technology has attracted more and more attention from the people and has gained many achievements in network applications . As a kind of distributed network architecture, P2P technology can resolve the problems of traditional network architecture thoroughly . This thesis inducts P2P technology to ITS for this point.This thesis analyses the P2P technology and ITS based on traditional Centralized network , gives a method to build the ITS information collecting platform by JXTA , which is a project to construct a P2P network . A discussion on the design of ITS information collecting platform is given , also the methods to realize the ITS Data Collection Service , the ITS Peer Status Service , the Vehicle Database Service , Vehicle Detector Service and Vehicle Information Query Service are given in this thesis .In the last chapter, a demonstration is given to show how the ITS information collecting platform based on P2P technology works with two examples of ITS network.
