Nowadays, the technology of digital signal process are got extensive attention by people. Accompany with the development of technology of computer and microelectronics, the theory and arithmetic of digital signal process development quickly, Digital filters are extensively used in audio and video processing,digital communications, frequency analysis, auto control and so on. Digital filter is one of the most important part of digital signal process, almost appeared in all digital signal process system.In this paper, the digital filter was achieved by using TI's 16 fixed-point DSP chips TMS320VC5416-160 of hardware ,software structure and characteristics. DSP chips development of technology ,software programming and debugging skills was study deeply. In MATLAB environment, IIR filter was simulated by using MATLAB language programming and obtained the filter coefficient. Through CCS environment ,the procedures of developing, the method of debugging and the choice of optimizing was mastered. And IIR filte's algorithm was debugged and simulated with DSPAssembly languageThe research of the digital filter basic theory and method laid a theoretical foundation for the realization of the digital filter.It provides theoretical and technical preparations , shorters the distance between theory and practice for the relevant areas of digital filter. So it is to lay a foundation and accumulate experience for digital filter and DSP technology research .
