Reverse engineering in medicine is becoming increasingly important.As the commercial software of medical fault image reverse engineering is very expensive,it is difficult for the general hospitals.This thesis makes a research on impending requirement of the medical CT image 2D processing and 3D reconstruction software for the general hospitals,and the development of according software.This thesis is based on the reverse engineering technology,the digital image processing technology and computer graphics.First,it analyses the theories of digital image processing and related algorithms.Second,it discusses and compares the methods of 3D reconstruction and then selects surface rendering method.Last,according to the basic theory of Marching Cubes algorithm,it achieves 3D through the contours of a series of 2D images using a method of isosurface extraction in volume data.Based on them,it develops the CT image processing and 3D reconstruction software,it reverses 3D model of human bones through medical CT fault image serial.2D image processing achieves some capabilities of geometric transformation,median filtering,image smoothing,image sharpening,edge detection, edge enhancement,contour extraction,contour files storage etc.It should improve the quality of images by image processing,that is some operations of image enhancement, border strengthening and unwanted information removing etc. at the same time it need image registration for slice data, that is to zoom,rotate and other operations.Slice data will be placed under a unified 3D coordinate system,so as to provide accurate 3D volume data for 3D reconstruction.To reconstructed model 3D reconstruction achieves some capabilities of rotation,zooming,moving,opacity and cutting etc.In order to analyze section of the reconstructed tissues and observe the size and structure of inner tissues,a cutting plane can do it.
