Virtual studio is currently a hot subject of research on multi-media technology and digital technology. This thesis based on the project of Low Cost Virtual Studio Platform (Wuhan Science and Technology Research Project), providing the scene matching function for it, and it is a very important part of the virtual studio system. This thesis researched on scene matching, which is one of the key technologies of virtual studio. We divided scene matching into two parts, one is 2D and the other is quasi-3D. The camera and the virtual scene are both controlled by desktop software.2D scene matching arithmetic use the speed formula proved by human visual properties and the theory of camera imaging, and modified by detail in practice. Quasi-3D arithmetic is based on the theory of camera imaging studied in 2D, and 3D Graphics. The 3D scene is controlled by Multigen Vega, who exchanged information by process communication. The inertia simulation is added to both 2D and quasi-3D scene matching to make the effect more realistic. It is indicated by the result of experiments that, the 2D and quasi-3D arithmetic used in this thesis both reached aim, and have good effect. But quasi-3D system has many differences with real 3D system, such as the cameras in quasi-3D are fixed, they can't move. The next target is to complete the 3D roam and shelter, and perfect the precision. The realization of 2D and quasi-3D scene matching started a low-cost and high-effect road for the research of virtual studio. It speeded up the popularization of virtual studio and the development of television.
