The constant improvement of market economy, with the fast development and widespread applications of network technology, has greatly impacted on the current design and manufacture mode of machine tool product, in order to meet the requirements of current market, improve the market response of machine tool product designing, and shorten the design circle of CSCD (Computer Supported Collaborative Design) machine tool product, the research on the task planning system in the cooperative design of the machine tool product was put forward.Based on the analysis of characteristics of CSCD system in the network environments, the structure and function module of the task planning system were provided according to the requirements of machine tool product in CSCD, combined with the technology of Object-Oriented analysis, and utilizing UML to model the main functions of the system; In addition, the data flow of the prototype system were designed, and the concept design and logic structure design of network database were provided via the analysis of data flow and requirements of system, and the application method of database as well.The task planning is the key of whole system, and it is also the prerequisite whether the collaborative design could achieve. In this section, this thesis firstly provided the decomposing method of machine tool product project (task) of in CSCD, and then utilized NDSM (Numerical Design Structure Matrix) modeling to arrange those decomposed sub tasks with corresponding relation weights, and to regroup sub tasks in NDSM model using clustering algorithm, at last, the task distributing algorithm was provided to distribute those regrouped assembled sub tasks to appropriate design units or persons.The machine tools product task planning system under network environment was based on the canonical programming method and principle of system modeling, taking J2EE as the network development technology. The FTDK5616 sculpture machine was selected as the applicative example, and the realization of whole system was approved, which integrated with function model of collaborative project management and collaborative person management, and all these theories and key technologies in this thesis were identically verified.Basing on the network technology, the machine tools product task planning system can meet the requirements of collaborative design system with network environment very well, and it can lower the cost of design, shorten the period of product design, and also enhance the economic benefits of the enterprises. Meanwhile, with above researches, it will provide technical support for collaborative design and task planning of the machine tool industry.
