As one of the latest flashing non-scanning laser imaging technologies, streak tube laser imaging technology is capable of achieving larger field of view and higher frame rate than scanning laser imaging technologies and traditional non-scanning laser imaging technologies. Therefor it requests higher data processing performance. Relying on the demostration device of streak tube laser imaging system, we carry out the theory research and application research on data processing technology of streak tube laser imaging system, in which hardware realization, software and core algorithm design and system deployment involved. Some preliminary research results have been gained, including hardware design and system establishment of the data processing system, design of the streak image processing software and core algorithms. The correctness and feasibility of the data processing software and core algorithms are validated through range resolution experiment for multiple targets and laser imaging experiment in push-broom mode for staircase targets. Furthermore, we carry out the application research on the hardware performance, the software efficience and system deployment of data processing subsystem of streak tube laser imaging system through the streak image processing hardware-in-loop simulation experiment.First, the research on hardware design and realization on data processing technology of streak tube laser imaging system is carried out. Through analyzing in detail the demand of streak tube laser imaging system for the performance and system interfaces of its data processing hardware, streak image data processing system is designed after comparasion of the strongpoints and shortcomings of the structures and the difficulty of realization and development of serval typical image processing systems. Moreover, on request of the system index and based on the market investigation and research for the key image processing components, the preliminary data processing hardware platform has been established.The following research focuses on the streak image processing software and core algorithms. The structure of data processing software is designed through analyzing in detail the demand of streak tube laser imaging system for its data processing software and discussing deeply about the data processing tasks. Furthermore, the core data processing algorithms, including streak image noise reduction algorithm, streak characteristic data extraction algorithm, target rang image and intensity image of the target rebuilding algorithm and real-time updating algorithm, are analyzed and designed.Next, based on range resolution experiment for multiple targets and laser imaging experiment in push-broom mode for staircase targets, we validate the correctness and fesibility of streak image data processing algorithms and analyze the error of data processing results for streak tube laser imaging system, then, some schemes about how to improve experimental device, experimental methods and data processing algorithms are brought forward.Finally, on the basis of the research results of data processing hardware and software for streak tube laser imaging system, the streak image data processing hardware-in-loop simulation experiment is designed and carried out, by the aid of which the performance of the established data processing hardware and software and the feasibility of the whole data processing system are validated and the transition from theory research to application research. Meanwhile, it provides a platform for system testing and a reference for the design of system structure.The research results obtained provide theory and application guide for the establishment and consummation of data processing subsystem of streak tube laser imaging system, and are of far reaching importance for the development of data processing technology for streak tube laser imaging system. The key research direction of data processing technology for streak tube laser imaging system is brought forward finally based on the experimental result.
