With the development of computer science, CMOS chip becomes more and more popular to common people. It is unimaginable that there are billions of transistors on a single and small chip which is able to perform such many complex functions completely.This article designs a product of a Graphics Processor and verifies it.First, this article analyses the architecture of the Graphics Processor and makes out the structure of the top circuit. Then it takes barrel shifter as a example to illuminate the function and principle.Second, this article creates the environment of simulation and verification. Here we use the Enhanced-NanoSim-VCS simulator. In the article we describe particularly how to build the simulation environment based on the NanoSim-VCS simulator. The work includes the configuration for the simulator, the use of the compiler, the demand of the simulation results, and the modules built for the chip, such as the design of memorizer Dram and Vram, the design of the host module, etc.Last, this article completes the verification.The article takes graphic instructions as example to introduce how to write verification schedule, define the coding style of verification pattens and complete check-oneself verification. Furthermore, it avoids the embarrassment of checking the signal wave with our eyes. This article takes a combined way to improve fault coverage and reduce the time.
