The Research Of Software Project Cost Estimating And Unified Process

The software project's estimation is an important stage of the software engineering development process, as it requires the general analysis of economics technique with the special software engineering process. Cost estimation also is the most important activity in the software project management. If there is not the scientific method to estimate the scale, workload, progress and cost of the software project, the project's plan and control can't be carried out.This thesis emphasized to study the method that can be used to estimate the project cost using the unified process. In a Medicare Management System of the Web-based enterprise application, we introduced the basic COCOMO model, the middle COCOMO model, the combination of the COCOMO model and the unified process, the combination of the method and meaning, and other related software estimate technique. The main contents of these are as follows:Chapter 1: Introduced the background and some creative works of the research;Chapter 2: Introduced the technique, step of the software estimate, and numerous comparisons of the estimate method;Chapter 3: Introduced the unified process, studied the combination of the software estimate and the unified process, and the method that carry on estimate in the unified process;Chapter 4: Introduced the Medicare management system of the Web-based enterprise workers and analyzed the possibility of the combination;Chapter 5: Introduced how to use the estimate in the system;Chapter 6: Introduced the conclusion, prospect, foreground of the combination.
