With the fast development of our country's economy, the need for the oil increases more and more. But the domestic extracting of oil couldn't satisfy the economy development's request. So we must strengthen the oil pipeline construction between other countries such as Russia and so on. To guarantee the safety of the pipeline during the oil transmitting, we must monitor the displacement of the pipeline. Though there are several methods to monitor the displacement, they all have their own flaws so that they can not satisfy us.The purpose of this text is to design a new method based on the existing methods to improve the monitoring process and provide a more perfect monitoring system for pipeline's construction and good operation.The studying object is the oil pipeline between MoHe and DaQing section and introduces a real-time monitoring system of long pipeline. This system refers the former methods which detect the displacement by force or laser and then offers a new way to monitor the displacement by digital image processing. We carried on repeated experiment to verify the performance of the system and proved that this system is high-precision, real-time and cheap.This text describes the detailed construction of the system while introducing how to monitor the displacement by digital image processing. This text explains the way to transmit the data between different modules and why we use those ways. We designed different GUI respectively for the project application and the laboratory test. Provide the reliable data for the practical application.
