Software reuse technology based on component greatly enhances software's quality and improves the efficiency of development. The interoperability between heterogeneous components is one of key technologies to reuse them. Today, .NET and J2EE platform have occupied a large part of applications market. Therefore, the interoperability becomes a hot issue. The following contents are mainly studied in this thesis:Firstly, the principles, methods, advantages, disadvantages, and applicability of some interoperability technologies are analyzed, such as Web Services, .NET Remoting running bridging technology, etc. In order to obtain the best performance, how to choose appropriate solution of platform interoperability to meet different requirements, such as performance, synchronous/ asynchronous, scalability, difficulty and so on, are discussedSecondly, the conversion between heterogeneous data, especially the complex data is crucial to interoperability technology. The "data adapter" based on XML Schema to solve heterogeneous data's conversion issue is proposed. Finally, the interoperability design of heterogeneous platform is analyzed in this thesis. A method uses the design pattern to settle this problem is given. Three Design Patterns, such as Abstract Factory Pattern and Adapter Pattern and Decorator Pattern, are used to improve interoperability in heterogeneous platforms, and the solutions and consequences of this Design Patterns are analyzed.Experiments show that choosing appropriate solution and using Design Pattern to settle interoperability in heterogeneous platforms make the Resources Integration more effective and the development of product become more flexible and efficient in enterprise-level applications.
