Computer-aided design technology, is based on computers, peripherals and operating systems, including two-dimensional graphics design, 3D solid modeling design, finite element analysis and optimization of the design, NC programming, simulation and product data management, and so on.Wizard design is a relatively mature design method which is well known by all. Wizard means guiding users step by step to complete and achieve a particular function of the application software" , that is to take over the user's input information in some way, then according to information above to generate the content which users need. This is to reduce the workload of information processing, time and effort will mainly deal with information on the key steps. Wizard's biggest advantage is "the simplification of a complex work."Aiming at the present situation that the further development upon the available general CAD System severely lags behind the increasing popularization of the application of CAD system in our country, the author, using VC ++6.0 and the development module of Pro/E—Pro/Toolkit, made a further development upon Pro/E and established a AC contactor wizard system which has the features of parameterization. This system is developed with the application of wizard design technique on the basis of the previous studies. This system realizes the Wizard parametric design of AC contactor, and establishes the basic parts database of AC contactor. The system is more easy to use and master with the Wizard design methods. Parts database makes user gain the data what he wants without lookupping a large number of books, which will greatly reduce the workload of the designers.
