Study And Development Of Digital Archives For University Based On Web

University digital archive has been an inevitable trend for the construction of information-based university. With the development of digital and information-based campus, more complicated network environment and advanced technology have been provided for teaching, research as well as management. The archives have been always playing a key role in the reservation and transmission of human knowledge. Being an important part of university information recourses system, the construction of digital archives is pivotal for establishing information resources system of first-class university in China. It is also a crucial step for university to achieve more progress in new century.According to the features of the management and service of archives in university, the present paper put up two important steps of constructing university digital archives: firstly, set up core network of digital archives, which grounded on campus network connecting all school embranchments; secondly, design and develop a management system of university digital archive based on web. During discussing how to design and develop a management system of university digital archives based on web, we analyze especially and discuss carefully about designing network system's topological structure, the contents of the two software architecture and the application of the technique of data mining in archive service.The study and practice of this paper suggest that, construction and application of university digital archives based on web, can improve the reform of theory, technique and method of university archives management efficiently, moreover, to archive the furthest of sharing and utilization of archives information resources, so as to increment the information, and finally realize the jump development of university archives.The present paper firstly points out an effective copy right protection of digital product during the process of archives construction, that is, digital watermark, and presents a digital watermark algorithm for text based on the MS word document. the method about watermark embody, detecting, drawing and verify are also discussed, and it is proved that adding watermark to the document is feasible.
