With the continuous development of information and the society of study for life, network education occupies a more and more important position in the education. The web-based curriculum is a very important part of the resources of network education. So to design and develop the high quality web-based curriculum seems to be a very key. However, the present condition of the application of web-based curriculum isn't optimistic. Main reason as followed: The knowledge's presentation is to single; neglecting organization and design of teaching activity; the content's structure is inflexible to come to a deadlock, can't carry on the complete and valid teaching evaluation. In addition, most of the teacher who are not the graduates from educational technology do not understand how to carry on a teaching design under the network environment, which causing the quality of web-based curriculum not even mixed and the efficiency even lowly. According to the above-mentioned circumstance, the author chooses the teaching design theories of the web-based curriculum as the topic.The aim of this thesis is giving reference to these who engaged in teaching designing of the network course, especially to those workers who are not the graduates from educational technology. The author mainly adopted methods of studying literature, website investigation, interview etc.Acoording to the traditional and distance education's teaching design theories,at the beginning the article explained the research background, value and methods in an all-round way, current situation purpose. And then illustrated the definition of the relevant concepts. Introduced the concept and the characteristics of the web-based curriculum, the teaching design's concept and pattern; and introduced the theory basis of teaching design based on the communications theory, learning theory and teaching theory which gived the theory basis for the research on web-based curriculum teaching design theory.And studied and gived analysis to the present situation of web-based curriculum system, acoording to the studies of traditional and distance education's teaching design theories and the prensent web-based curriculum, constructed the diagram of the structure of web-based curriculum system,the element diagram of the chapter and the contents and and features of steps of teaching design of the web-based curriculum .And studied the design Process of Web-based Curriculum gived web-based curriculum every process's teaching design features and principles.At last summarized the research results of this thesie and the works the aothor will do.
