Tactical Internet can provide efficient delivery of the command and control date among the commanders, brainmen and weapon platfbrm. It can supply approximate real-time situational awareness information, therefore enhances the pace of the war. improves the execution of the weapons and increases the survivance of combatants. Thus many countries have paid great attention to the researches and tests of the Tactical Internet. This thesis mainly focuses on the mobile nodes with high mobility in the Tactical Internet, studies the mobility model of the nodes, the performance of network protocols and the mobility management of the Tactical Internet.Firstly,a new mobility model named integrated mobility model is presented which is based on many other models, such as random mobility model, reference point group mobility model, dynamic grouping mobility model.Comparing with other mobility models, the integrated rnobility model simulates the multiple mobility patterns of nodes in the Tactical Internet much more precisely.Secondly, this thesis evaluates the familiar routing protocols AODV,DSR and GPSR in the environment of the Tactical Internet based on different mobility models, comparing the routing load.the deliver ratio, the average transfer delay and the throughput of the network. At the same time.the energy consumption is studied, comparing the energy consumption of the whole network, energy consumption unitbrmity of each node and the network living time of the Tactical Internet.Based on the results of the simulations, some factors affecting the performance of the protocols are summarized and some suggestions are given on designing protocols of the Tactical Internet. Finally, mobile IPv6 is modified for the special configuration of the Tactical Internet which is based on the integrated subnets.Local agent and foreign agent are imported into MIPv6,so the modified MIPv6 can support nodes" intra mobility, and then proper mobility detection, handoff and registration mechanism are proposed. The results show that the average handoff time and registration cost of the enhanced mobility management decreased greatly when the node is far away from its home network and correspondence node or the intra mobility probability is high, therefore the new mobility management has obviously advantage over MIPv6.
