The satellite communication develops rapidly by its rapid, convenient and flexible. At present, the satellite communication penetrated into social life, such as the military, political, scientific research, Internet transmission, broadcast television, major industry information network and civil correspondence each domains, also played the pivotal role in the distance learning construction. The satellite communication is developping to the digitization, the high power, large capacity, the redundant and reliable, this proposed to the satellite ground receiving system performance a higher request, requests the ground tracking station antenna to have to aim at the satellite strictly. Because the satellite antenna control room is mostly located on the mountain or the suburb tall building top layer, the working conditions are very bad, the electromagnetic radiation is serious, the influence on the set personnel's health is also serious, therefore, it has the great significance to develop the long-distance control satellite in order to protect the set personnel's health and to improve the quality of satellite communication.The system of the Distance-Controller for Digital Satellite Antenna is the combine of the antenna controller technology and computer technology, using the controller of the satellite antenna with the core is SCM, to make the antenna aim at the satellite with auto or manual mode at every settled period of the time.The system includes two parts: the SCM and the computer. Its principle is: Using numeral satellite antenna controller to gather the antenna angle signal and receive satellite signal, and convey to the computer to storage, through the computation of the antenna pitch angle and the azimuth with different receive position and different time, seeks the different satellite the drifting rule and saves, then the basis stored datum, produces the control signal after operation processing, at the right moment the adaptive control antenna realization fast accurately to the star; In order to control, it also can display satellite antenna relative satellite direction through the computer, and realize the multi-terminals controller. This system utilizes the control function of SCM, the mass memory and high speed operational capability of the computer as well as the network traffic capacity fully, and use the client/server computation pattern. It can control the satellite antenna accuratly, and also can do long-distance controller.The research utilizes the communications theory, the satellite antenna theory, the automatic control theory fully as well as the database knowledge, develops a set of distance-controller for digital satellite antenna, with advance technological, reliable performance and integrity function.
