The transportation is closely linked to people's daily life, which has great influence on cities'sustainable development and the improvement of stand of living of people. So the transportation has been a key point of economy development and society construction. On confronting more and more severe contradiction between demand and supply of cities'traffic, more and more transportation-staffers get to realize that, the ultimate solution of the traffic problems lies in expanding public traffic preferentially, ensuring the principal part of public traffic and utilizing limited traffic resources with great efficiency.As the traffic problems emerge gradually, much investigation has been completed by domestic and overseas experts, most of which just brings forward measures to improve existing traffic status however, and little concerning obtaining fundamental data needed by public traffic layout and management of operation. Nowadays substantive survey is still applied, with the disadvantage of high cost and low quality of data.In recent years, the use of bus IC brings not only convenience to passengers but also the possibility that the IC data-base could hold abroad operation foundation, powerful data sustaining and informational statistics of flux of passengers, which makes the data sustaining more accurate, betimes and economical. Consequently, it's greatly significant and developmental for bus information of flux of passengers, which is essential for bus transportation operation and management. So we can explore IC data-base, and then apply data-mining technology in it, to offer a consulter for bus transportation operation and management.This paper takes Changchun City bus IC data for an object, research on the entire process of data warehouse construction on bus IC data, to make the use of the IC data information more comprehensive, and to strong the help to the planning and operation of bus scheduling. Thesis is divided into six chapters, each chapter's major elements is described as following:Chapter I: Papers on the research background and significance, research and development of domestic and international trends, as well as the major research content In this paper.Chapter II: A brief description of the data warehouse concepts and features. Elaborate traditional database and data warehouse linked and differential from the solution of the problem, data storage, features, and other aspects, analysis the need to set up a data warehouse in the amount of information today for the dramatic increase and the limitations of traditional database. Listed data warehouse Success Stories on marketing, telecommunications, banking and other sectors overseas, to show the importance using data warehouse for enterprise information management and decision support.Chapter III: Describe the background and the application status about bus IC, analysis the bus IC data structure of Changchun City. On the application of targeted data analysis, this part makes the Data Processing in two perspective, which control transit planning and operation scheduling. And formed complete bus IC data algorithm ideas. Extraction the IC data field which can be directly applied to the data processing, determine the judgments method on passengers get on and off site according to the field content. And then use the data of bus IC data of May 2007 Changchun City to judge the get on and off site situation, at last summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the method employed. Chapter IV: Introduce the details around the bus IC data warehouses. Before the establishment of Data Warehouse, analysis the System framework of bus IC data at first, determine structure of the data warehouse, then given system architecture. In this part ,the author detailed description of IC data preprocessing, which including data collection, data cleaning, data conversion and data statute, then listed the selection criteria of data Warehouse according to bus IC data processing needs, and choose the SQL Server 2000 as the Project Development Platform.Chapter V: Focuses on the entire process of establishment the data warehouse of Changchun City bus IC data. Be clearly that established data warehouse should extraction data from the bus IC database, including the bus IC VISA information, the bus lines information, the public transportation network information, and the traffic information. Collating, sorting and re-organization on the above data, and then complete the establishment of related data tables. Extract actual data in the data warehouse, statistics and analysis passengers flow curves in Changchun City, and propose the statistical methods for bus operator's indicators in the database or data warehouse.Chapter VI: Summary and Outlook. This part summarized the completed content of the paper, and also the innovative and the issue should be subject to further study.The new points of this paper were as follows:1.Use the real data of bus IC data of May 2007 Changchun City to judge the get on and off site situation, at last summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the method employed.2.On the base of forming complete bus IC data algorithm ideas and determining structure of the data warehouse, establish the data warehouse of Changchun City bus IC data. Then statistics and analysis passengers flow curves in Changchun City, and propose the statistical methods for bus operator's indicators in the data warehouse.
