The Influence Of The Soft Handover Parameter On The Quality Of WCDMA Network

The capacity , coverage and quality of the WCDMA system are restricted by various factors , and vary continuously . The network planning and network optimization of WCDMA system aim to make the three factors to be a best match as far as possible . Although the soft handover technology brings benefits , the essence of which is to promote network quality by consume network resources.In this thesis , firstly , analyzed the principle , the calculating method and the process of the WCDMA soft handover technology. Secondly, analyzed the influence of the key soft handover parameter on WCDMA network quality with typical cases and combining the testing results of the handover parameter optimization from Wuxi WCDMA experimental network , to carry out a comparative analysis from 7 aspects such as Ec/Io etc. .Finally , combining the theoretic analysis and the optimizing test , through soft handover strategy and key parameter optimization , matched with engineering escalating , to promote the network quality in different network stage , different coverage , different ratio of soft handover . From which , to lay a foundation and draw lessons for the future studies of WCDMA system.
