As RFID was applied more and more widely in many industries, the business process related with RFID became more difficult and changed more frequently. The traditional development method of RFID application has blocked its progress in enterprise application, especially in middle and mini type enterprise. The RFID participants have to face series of problems, which need to be solved immediately: how to develop a non-customized RFID system, how to reuse the legacy of business logic, and how to deal with the frequent business change. In one word, we must reduce the development cost of RFID application for optimizing its function in enterprise information revolution. These problems are great chanllenge for us.This research implements business process modeling tool, business logic components and business process engine, through SOA concept and the techniques related with light-weight business process server, to solve the problems about reuse and quick handling of business logic change. This paper brings forward a new RFID application development method for mini/middle-size enterprises: modeling the business processes, analyzing the common and difference of business process, extracting general and individual business logic units; if component repository doesn't contain the general business logic unit, the business logic unit must be implemented and added into component repository; if component repository contains it, it can be used directly; the individual business logic unit must be customized; achieving all business logic components, generating the business process description and execution file to deal with business process. The development cost of RFID application can be reduced effectively and the deployment of RFID application can be accelerated through this method.Firstly, this paper will analyze the problems about business process in RFID application, bring forward research and development light-weight reconfigurable RFID business process server using business modeling and SOA; secondly, some business modeling tools, business modeling language and the SOA programming method will be analyze and we will decide the Petri Nets as business modeling tool, the PNBPML which extends PNML as business modeling and execution language, and the OSGi platform as implementation of SOA; thirdly, we will analyze the requirements of business process server and design the system architecture; lastly, the implementation and ship out, a process scenario in logistics, will be given.
