Fire alarm system is an important equipment to detect and prevent fire at its beginning. Along with the rapid development of information and network technology, it is possible to realize distributing intelligentize fire alarm controller with large capacitance in network. To solve the problem about the complexity in designing, constructing and maintaining, weak anti-jamming, high malfunction and misinformation rate in existing systems, this subject designed a wireless fire alarm and localization system which is suitable for indoor fire detection and firemen's localization.Firstly, through analyzing the Present Situation and developmental tendency of fire alarm systems, this paper pointed out the advantages of wireless fire alarm system and the researchful meaning of this subject.Secondly, wireless sensor network technology and ZigBee technology, which are the technical foundation of wireless fire alarm and localization system,was researched. According to the main technical target and functional need of the system,this paper constructed the holistic model of the system and gave the overall schemes of hardware and software.Thirdly, according to the hardware scheme whose "four lows" characteristic meet ZigBee's end, this paper designed MCU module,wireless data transmitting and receiving module, sensing module,serial communication mudule and power module, and gave the concrete description of the usage of every interface and peripheral equipment.Fourthly,combined with the hiberarchy of ZigBee protocol,the paper gave the algorithmic flow that used in data collecting and transmitting, network formation, routing and localization, and described the realization of program,which ensured the security and stability,and minimized the complexity.Finally, completed debugging and testing of the system,This paper validated the system's function through the result of network formation,and carried out a localization experiment to found a data model,those data are analyzed and ultimately the precision of location estimation is computed.The testing result indicated that the system realized data collecting, communication, network formation and localization functions, its data sensing precision, position estimate precision, data rate of transmission and anti-jamming have already met the design requirement. The design has also thought about the possibility of extension and upgrade, it was convenient for further development based on existing basis.
