Design And Implementation Of Anti-Terrorist Case Management Information System

Terrorist task is one of the central tasks of CAPF. At present, the anti-terrorist unit of CAPF has taken shape, but the anti-terrorist information construction is still in its initial stage. There is a long way to go to meet actual requirements of anti-terrorist tasks. Modern terrorist activities have become more covert, sudden, and unpredictable. To ensure victories in the future battles against terrorism, computer-based means should be used. Computer information is necessary in anti-terrorist case information management and decision-support action against terrorism. A database information management system can establish management and preservation of case information. Then, it can provide comprehensive and detailed data for the anti-terrorist study and mission. With an anti-terrorist expert system , information support and assist decision on anti-terrorist operations can be obtained.This Project has two parts. The first part comprehensively analyzes the actual needs of information about the current anti-terrorist task of CAPF. According to the actual needs of the troops, a lot of anti-terrorist cases are collected. Modules are divided reasonablely, expandability of the system, maintainability, and friendly user interface are fully considered, a prototype of anti-terrorist case management information system is designed. Main functions of the system are achieved in using Visual C++ 6.0 software development tools and the SQL Server 2000 database management system. In Part two, the structure and various components of anti-terrorist expert system are studied preliminarily, focusing on how to classify the rules. The prototype system has some practical value and provides case study, and it will serve as the basis for a large and more system. The study on anti-terrorist expert system is expected to provide a solid foundation for decision-making.
