Alteration information refers to synthetical spectral information including all kinds of background spectrum reflected by integrative wallrocks in the spatial entity which is benefit to the metallization taking place in the remote sensing imagery. The background spectrum refers to some environment background such as the spectrum of soil, vegetation, and etc. Under the effect of hydrotherm, the rocks, which are the mineral components, chemistry elements and structure changed, is called alteration wallrock, because of it usually presented round the hydrothermal deposit. The ferriferous metallic mineral and alteration mineral which have OH– or CO32- Because of hydrothermal ore-forming solution,Most of endogenetic deposit have pyrite mineralization,sericitization,carbonatation etc alteration phenomena, moreover, the region of alteration is bigger than deposit,this provide conditions for information extraction of alteration.Most of altered rocks have major Fe3+,OH–,CO3 2-.A a mass of rocky spectrum test data prove that ,from visible region to NIR,these ion have reflect or absorb key band,but the chemical constituent of rock-forming mineral(Si,Al,Mg,O) don't have above-mentioned spectral diagnostics,this is the physical foundation of information extraction of alteration. Alteration information is an important part of extracting the remote sensing information. Wallrock alteration as a weak power information existing in the background of remote sense image. Although alteration wallrock is different to the normal wallrock in the mineral components, chemistry elements, rock structure and color, but it not evidence. So depend on couldn't make extracting alteration information come true.Partition standardization in geochemical use to remove different lithology and sampling medium background distributing parameter's infection, or to remove the infection of different image system's analyse error so as to gain the trustiness mineralize abnormity information. In the remote sensing technology partition standardization is to carve up the investigate area by different geologic background and vegetation coverage and extracting the alteration information in every area. Anciently we use the same method and parameter to extract the alteration information in the same remote-sensing data. Actually different geologic background and sight area have different alteration mineral background, we tell it different character of background interspace. So when we extracting the alteration information we must consider the exist of the geological setting, use different disposal and quantization parameter to figure out different area consequently have a quantization comparability.The thesis is picked from"medium and thermal infrared Multi/high spectral mineral map exercises and the investigation of extract alteration information", extracting the alteration information of Fuxin Liaoning. By learn and research the primary datum and base on their theoretic and method bring forward by carve up the area to extract alteration information, major findings are as follows:(1) We use Normalization Vegetation Index (NDVI) to study the vegetation coverage degree, and carve up the area as 0%
