The vibration control, a branch of intelligent structure's application, has been widely adopted in the areas of military, machinery, medicine, and civil products, especially in aerospace industry, where it's great potential has been already shown. On the basis of reading lots of reference, robust and non-fragile vibration control of intelligent plate is investigated in this paper. The controller is not only robust, but also non-fragile.In this paper, the first step is the uncoupling of the finite element equations after the intelligent plate is deduced. The second step is using methods of minimal realization and balancing reduction in state-space models to reduce its order. It deals with the problem of the optimal and suboptimal H∞control via state feedback for intelligent plate based on a method of linear matrix inequality (LMI).Taking uncertainties due to modal parameters variation into account, a model of modal parameters variation is established and robust and control via state feedback for intelligent plate is designed based on the method of linear matrix inequality. On this basis, robust and non–fragile H∞control via state feedback for intelligent plate is designed. This process is proved feasible in an example about an intelligent cantilever plate.
