IPv6 Internet AS-level network topology discovery technique is a brand-new hotspot in network security area. It mainly focus on obtaining IPv6 Internet AS-level topology and relevant information, so as to provide reference for network management, network optimization, Internet's emulation and other work.Firstly, this paper introduces the background of IPv6 Internet AS-level network topology discovery technique, then makes a thorough study of IPv6 Internet AS-level topology discovery based on three data sources, like MPBGP, traceroute6 and whois. An algorithm is presented to extract information from MPBGP routing table and update message stored in MRT file format; and the reason for MOAS (Multi Origin AS) phenomenon during topology discovery process is analyzed in addition. To address the problem of credibility validation of AS-level topology discovery, this paper presents an algorithm to validate the credibility of IPv6 Internet AS-level topology based on traceroute6 source routing. The core idea is to find routers separately in two ASes by comparing IPv6 address prefix length, utilize the IPv6's universal support of source routing and that source routing regulates transmission path, utilize traceroute6 source routing to make data travel across two ASes and get transmission path, finally map IPv6 addresses to AS number to verify the credibility of topology.Based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of three data sources and the in-out relationship of each other, this paper proposes a model for IPv6 Internet AS-level topology discovery. This model combines with the obtained AS geography information, takes MPBGP as the basic data source, and the whois as ancillary data source, relies on traceroute6 to carry on the credibility verification. After building it, this dissertation designs IPv6 Internet AS-level topology discovery model architecture and provides the corresponding solutions.
