Research Of System Of Video Detection Of Moving Objects Based On DSP

With the development of social economy, the city has become more and more crowed and the traffic problem has become one of bottleneck factores that retard the development. It is lack of capability to improve the transportation condition only by adding the investment of foundation establishment. So the publics has become to resolve the problem of traffic jam which occur frequently nowdays by promoting the construction of ITS. The gathering of traffic information is the foundation of ITS.The video detection method based digital image processing is the development direction of the vehicle detection. The program of video detection system is diversified. Through of the analysis of the past several common video detection program, it is put forward that a kind video detection of moving objects based on DSPs. The system features are that video capture and data analysis are accomplished on the DSP board, then the results are transmitted to the control center, which not only take full advantaged of the poweful operating capability of DSP, but also reduce the burden on the main computer. This paper first discusses the whole framework for the system, then analyze the hardware system and the detecton algorthm. For hardware system, this paper decribes in detail the concrete realization of its various modules. The whole hardware system is based on TMS320DM642. The discusses of the hardware design lay emphasis on Video Input and Output Module, External Memory Module, Ethernet Module ande Power Module and so on. The PCB design belongs to the design of hign-speed PCB area, this paper makes a summary of layer stackup, components layout and PCB routing of the design of high-speed PCB.In terms of video detecton algorithms of moving objects , this paper is beginned with the research of the popular algorithms including of the video detection method based on background difference and optical flow field, block-matching etc. and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms. On these basis, it is put forward that the video detection algorithm based on virtual loop. The vehicles video detection algorithm simulate the magnetic induction coil embeded in the road. Virtual loop just as its name implies is not a true loop in the image, but a loop set factitiously. The loop is used to mark a area in which the pixels are processed. This algorithm , which include image preprocessing, background abtainment and update, threshold establishment and update and detection of flow and velocity.The final, this paper introduces the prospetive development of the video detection and the direction of thorough research.
