Presently, test technology and ATS (Automatic Test System) have already been in a standardized development phase in our country. It is essential to research on their theories and also do some useful engineering practice before the next generation ATS in practice. Some key problems in the ATS of aerocraft were studied in the thesis.Firstly, the universality of ATS was researched. In the background of the aerocraft ATS, three key problems around realizing the universality of ATS were studied. The conception of virtual instrument as well as its hardware platform and software structure was introduced. Base on the practical application of engineering, the method of realizing the universality of ATS was proposed.Secondly, the interchangeability of ATS was studied. The technology of IVI was studied for the instrument upgrade, and also the structure, mechanism and realized methods of instrument's driving programs were described. In addition, IVI-MSS and IVI-Signal Interfaces were discussed, the structure and extensibility of IVI-MSS model, as well as the problems existing in the IVI-Signal Interface, were also introduced. Finally, the transplantability and reusability of TPS (Test Programme Set) were researched. Based on the aerocraft ATS, the technologies of transplantability and reusability of TPS were in practice. The theory of state machine was introduced to LabVIEW, which realized the reusability of test software, enlarged the ATS's applications, increased the developing efficiency and decreased the developing cost. The methods and results in this thesis can provide important references for the ATS research and applications in our country.
