Synchronization technique is one of the most important techniques in any communication systems, especially in CDMA communication. The synchronization technique of MT-DS-CDMA system includes acquisition and tracking of pseudo-noise (PN) spreading sequence, frame synchronization and carrier synchronization, etc. Acquisition and tracking of PN sequence is the premise of other synchronizations and the basis of effective process of received imformation data.Firstly, we figure out the basic synchronization technology of DS-CDMA system, and research on the importance and performance measures of acquisition technique. Furthermore, we analyse the acquisition time performance of several acquisition techniques. Then, we introduce the basic principle and synchronization technique of MT-DS-CDMA system.On the basis of summarization of the traditional synchronization technique for MT-DS-CDMA system, considering the practical channel condition, we research on several key issues of system synchronization and propose improved acquisition and tracking arithmetic in AWGN channel and multipath fading channel to solve system synchronization problems of high data rate communication effectively. In addition, the improved synchronization algorithm simulation results in different channel condition are presented.After algorithm simulation, we propose FPGA hardware implement scheme and system test result and achieved system design requirements.
