For the development of microwave wireless communication, It has taken more requirements on the classical microwave circuits. So we must study new form or structure. The consistency, stability and reliability of microwave solid integrated circuit would satisfy the recent requirements. The difficulty on design and the consumption of this structure are also interested. Many designers and engineers pay more attention to it in recent years.Chapter 2 introduces the basic theory about complanate circuits systemly, then summerizes the common solution. In chapter 3, we describe the characteristic of microstrip and how to calculate the frequency-dependent characteristic impedance. A new method to test characteristic impedance called open end is summerized. Chapter 4 focuses on coupling microstrips which means that the relationship between two microstrips or more than two microstrips. The contents of chapter 5 is about microstrip patch antenna. We have done research about its radiation principle, summarize design method and design steps. Finally we design a microstrip patch antenna in practice in order to test its correctness and practicability.
