| Nowadays, science and technology news has become an important way of disseminating scientific knowledge, scientific methods, scientific thoughts and scientific spirit, thus gaining more and more concerns and attention from publicity sector, news industry and audience. Despite the mushroom of new mass media and other means, newspaper is still the most important carrier of science and technology news. Previous studies on science news in newspapers are mainly based on experiences, but less on the"text theory".On the basis of"text"and"text theory"in literature, this paper analyzes some issues in the journalism of science and technology. Built on the basic process of first discriminating language, second observing the structure and layout, third finding out the links between texts, and finally explaining the meaning of text, as well as scientific and professional features of science news, this paper carries out an overall analysis on text language, structure and interpretation of science and technology news in newspapers.There are obvious differences between the text language of science and technology news in newspapers and that in literary works. The former is accurate and academic in feature, and vivid, interesting, and abreast of the times in technique, with the coexistence of popular and academic features as the narrative tendency of science news in newspapers. The text structure of science and technology news in newspapers mainly has three combination ways, which are of Inverted Pyramids, Suspense and Chronological sequences. In the process of interpreting the text of science and technology news in newspapers, explication and implication are varied for different readers. Their habitual thinking manner and cognitive structure restrict the understanding of science and technology news text.In the realization of science and technology news text dissemination, disseminator, audience and the society are closely related and mutually affected. More attention to the effect of text will improve the disseminator's understanding and application of news interview and writing skills. Simultaneously, the quality of text matters a lot for the audience's interpretation of science news text in newspapers. More analysis of the text language, structure and interpretation of science and technology news in newspapers will help science news disseminators find new paths to improving their news writing, which has immense influence on magnifying the dissemination effect of science and technology news and improving people's quality. |
