As the social development moves on, the economic globalization trend becomes more obvious, enterprises are greatly distributed and the mobility of company employees is increasing. This urges the enterprise to construct their own Intranet so that the branches of an enterprise can be incorporated and their employees can easily access to their Intranet outside the enterprise. In this paper, the author gives the application of the Complex Adaptive System theory on the Enterprise Network System.The Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology offers the possibility of connecting remote network insecurity; various VPN realization technologies have emerged to meet the urgent commercial demands. Among all the technologies, the VPN based on Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology and the VPN based on IPSec technology are most dominant. MPLS seeks support from IP route protocol and control protocol, and meanwhile, supports policy routing. Its powerful and flexible functions can meet the requirements on networks by various new applications. MPLS technology can easily implement the VPN services, and have good expandability and manageability. The paper discusses in detail the working principle, system architecture and realization means of IPSec VPN and MPLS VPN , and analyzed them based on CAS theory, and their difference, strong and weak points are found out. It is brought forward that the MPLS VPN and IPSec VPN can be adopted combined so as to fully utilize their strong points in enterprise network technologies.More and more small businesses are looking to extend their networks beyond a specific location, this to enable branches to connect to each. Virtual Private Network (VPN) enables just that. But the creation and maintenance of Virtual Private Networks has been traditionally a complex and highly technical task. The New Virtual Private Network (NVPN) service allows a service provider too easily and costs effectively create and manage VPN communities for small business customers. NVPN is the full support for dynamic IP addresses. Every time the IP address changes for one of the gateways in a NVPN community, all the other gateways in the community are updated with the new address, allowing continuous connectivity.
