Along with the rapid development of the Internet technique, the more data is transmitted, the higher demand is required for the optical fiber communication system. In recent years the photonic crystal is a new artificial optical material, it has peculiar characteristic and affords good opportunities for the fiber communication, such as single-mode in one range of wavelength, nonlinear effect and the soliton transmission, etc. The photonic crystal can be used to make new optics parts of an apparatus, such as optics amplifier, the optics filter and the photonic crystal fiber. Therefore, studying the photonic crystal is instructive.In the former of paper, the basic knowledge and the status research of the photonic crystal was introduced, then, given some the theory methods on how to analysis the photonic crystal. In addition, some software will be used and given the program steps. In the latter of the paper, first, discuss the characteristic of the amplifier by changing the refractive index of the photonic crystal. In the model, the refractive index is a complex, the image has a negative value rather than zero. With the computer simulating, the transmission obtain greater than the image which is passive or zero is found out. This change shows us that when refractive index have negative image it can amplifier the optical energy, and the relation between the optical energy and the image is linear. Second, embedding the high refractive index material can improve the transmission which can be explained by the density of states. Third, if we change the number of the photonic crystal lays, the relationship between light enhancement and transmission and reflection is found. Fourth, describing the preparation of quanta dot and the equivalency gain forming mechanism is set up by the distributing amplification. These are the core of the paper. Last, the Laman amplifier used in the WDM system is discussed.
