With the development of missilery and technique, researchers are paying more and more attention to infrared imaging guidance technique. The technique of dim infrared target tracking is one of the key technologies in the system of infrared image information.Around the problem of the effective tracking for dim targets in low SNR images, this paper introduces related theory, mainly research a Bayes method for tracking of dim moving point target with position, velocity and luminance information , conducts formulas and algorithm research, and makes this system complete dim moving target tracking tasks in the clutter environment. It is conditioned on successful detection of a target by multi- frame detection scheme such as TBD process. First, we get initial position and velocitiy to predict the possible target area in the next frame of image through multi- frame detection. Then we adopt Bayes target tracking .Due to the low SNR and false alarm rate, maybe too many false targets occur there. There is a critically important decision problem that which of them is true target. We can employ association methods to achieve the goal of single-frame tracking.Finally, this paper does simulation for the new dim target tracking arithmetic and works out performance analysis. This arithmetic has certain practicality.
