The Research About Mobile Terminal Media Player

This dissertation displays the research and design of terminal media player based on stream media technology. This media system integrates embedded processor Liod, Linux core and domestic MiniGUI. The media player combines the functions of audio/video media player, entertainments platform and MMS. It can access to VOD service, website browser and playing audio/video media files. This system can smoothly transfer and play video file from video server. It can also be a monitor by sending MMS pictures of one's family to the mobile phone holder.In chapter 1, a comprehensive description about the significance and content of the research is given. The current research status of mobile multimedia player and stream media technology is described.In chapter 2, a description about the techniques related to the media player is given. These technologies include RTP, embedded processor system and wireless Ethernet.In chapter 3, the hardware system design is discussed. The system structure, design of hardware and server is mainly described.In chapter 4, a discussion about important block hardware design is given, including the GUI, media player, GSM/GPRS block, video digitalize, remote control and video format transform.In chapter 5, the test result of the system performance is presented in detail.In chapter 6, the achievement and improvement is concluded. The prospect of further research is also proposed.
