Research And Application On Revenue Assurance Process Model Of Telecom Operator

With the development of competition in telecom markets, telecom operators have already realized that they should pay more attention to revenue management of company. In order to reduce revenue loss, the research on Revenue Assurance (RA) has been initiated. RA needs coherent activities of the whole telecom operator, thus the effect of RA has been greatly influenced by the foundation and execution of RA work flow. However, there is no RA method which is agreed on by all in the area of revenue assurance, and there is no process model either. Through researches on the theory and practice of RA, and with the practical experience in a certain telecom operator, a RA process model has been put forwarded.Based on the basic method of constructing workflow process model and the characteristics of RA, a RA process meta-model has been proposed. Furthermore, with the reference on three dimension workflow model, the RA process model has been described from three aspects: Organization Model, Data Model and Process Model. And it has been described with Unified Modeling Language (UML).In the dissertation, the RA process model has been realized on JBPM, and thus works as a good reference for revenue assurance in telecom operators.
