In this article, based on NGOSS and Product Lifecycle Management theory, we define product design flow, summarize the rules of product design and finally design and implement product aided design system. Our research could help telecom operator normalize product design, improve the efficiency of product design and prevent telecom product accessing market blindly.This acticle mainly research telecom product design based on customer segment. Firstly, it introduces the fundmental theory of this acticle. It includes Next Generation OSS (NGOSS) knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) knowledge. Secondly, we summarize the principle of product design, define the flow of product design, describe the model of product price and design three rules of product design based on customer segment. The three rules could help telecom operator design product automaticly in service composing and price or favour defining. The article implements these rules with rule engine technology. Thirdly, for simulating the future benefit of new teleom product, we design telecom product benefit forecasting solution. Finally, we design telecom product aided design system, including system demand definition, system function definition, system entity designing and system architecture designing. Besides we use J2EE technology and rule engine technology to implement the model system.
