Design And Software Of X-ray Thickness Gauge For Plastic Film

A thickness gauge plays an important role in the plastic film product lines. Its accuracy determines the products' quality .Most of thickness gauges using in domestic film product lines are imported, this gives a lot of inconveniences for maintaining, operation and cost, however, thickness gauges which made in China have some shortcomings, such as poor accuracy and function.This paper gives a detailed introduction about our developing and designing process for X-ray thickness gauge using in biaxial oriented polypropylene film.Firstly, this paper describes the film producing principle, X-ray thickness gauge principle and the structure system design of the X-ray thickness gauge, explains the composition and function of every hardware part. The hardware part is composed of five parts: probe device, data receiving device, central control system, serving power device and monitoring software system.Then, we discuss the identification and control of thickness gauge system. We identify thickness gauge system firstly. We use multiple step single for identification single and two stages algorithm for identification method. We use PID control for control algorithm; the difficult of control is big delay of the thickness gauge system. For solving this problem, we use IMC-PID parameters tuning method. The simulation result show control design is correct and effective.Next, we also describe the monitoring software system of this device. This part puts an important on introducing software the Kingview system and developing function views. Then we introduce the database development and Active X development. In this chapter, we describe detailed database MySQL development, configuration, operation, management, optimization and maintaining.Lastly, we introduce the thickness gauge good performances. It has been applied to fushun city ethylene company successfully, and also pointed out its defects.
