With the current college enrollment in schools, the number of student increases greatly, and the management of students' information is so complex that could not be conveniently managed in the original papery, manual pattern. Therefore, more and more colleges build Campus Card System, using smart card and network technology. Most thing could be down conveniently with this smart card in campus. As a developing trend, this new technique will be extended widely in school and other organization.In this campus card system, smart card is information cartier, and combined with the other correlative system. Various functions are integrated in one card, including certificate management, file management, attendance management, consumption management, access control etc.. It is convenient to work, study, consume, get in and out. The smart card is the identification and electronic wallet of the system, and should has higher convenience and security.As a new technology developed in recent years, Contact-less IC cards is used a lot in the smart card area. It integrates the wireless identification and IC card technique, and successfully solves the passive and contactless problem. As a breakthrough in electronic device field, it has been widely used in various vacations, especially in public traffic, wireless communication, identification, financial transaction and safety guard. Contact-less IC becomes the mainstream selection in campus card system, as a result of its high security, better convenience and high performance cost ratio.The main task is to study the campus card system with various Contact-lessIC card reader design, introduces a general-reader and door lock reader, gates and slots and four photocopiers reader reader design. As the project is the use of the Philips company Mifarel S70 cards Therefore this paper, the Contact-lessIC card reader is based on the ISO14443 standard design. AT89C51ED2 reader used for MCU, Philips used for the company's MFRC500 chip reader, Design and reader of local memory card reader all the records. Reader through the RS485 and server communications, There will be local transmission of data to the server and server implementation made by the various orders.This paper is divided into six chapters to introduce the design of Contact-lessIC card reader. Chapter 1 explains the concept, sort, application field of the smart card, and studies the card's application mode, characteristic, function ,configuration system in campus card system, as well as the classification ofthe card reader. Chapter 2 describes the survey and structure of the system, including system's background, target, network etc. Chapter 3 introduces the hardware design of all card readers in this system. The design is classified into two levels——collectivity design and module design. The Collectivity design emphasises on the analysis of the different reader, and allocates all the reader into three modules: center control, data input and data output. These modules emphasis on the selected chip, detailed function and circuit. Chapter 4 is the software design of card reader, including the design of communication agreement, local storage pattern, address design and reader's unction. Chapter 5 is the security design of card reader, analysis the reason of system's hidden danger, and gives the solutions, especially the in hardware. Chapter 6 is generalization and expectation of the system. It summarizes the achievements and describes the bright future of the campus card system and Card reader.
