Research On Enterprise Metadata Integration Based On CWM

In recent years, the need of Enterprise Application Integration for the corporation is more and more urgently with the rapidly pullulating of the corporation's information systems. The data integration becomes a study hotspot of this industry. At present, although the integration of the corporation data has many different measures to deal with, they are still lack of common understanding to corporation data, so these measures cannot solve the problem of the coherence quality of corporation data radically. In order to make the metadata interchanging between Data Warehouse and business analysis domains come true expediently, OMG brings forward CWM (Common Warehouse Metamodel) which is the core of new strategy of MDA.With the thorough analysis of CWM and combine the situation of present corporation integration, we have put forward a set of corporation metadata integration measure named WMMS, which based on CWM. This paper have designed and realized the components of WMMS——Metadata Transformation Tool and Model Integrator.In this paper, the primary research tasks consist of two parts. The first is research on model integration based on CWM metamedel, including analyzing and solving of integration conflict, putting integration strategy forward. The second is analyzing structure of matadatabase and transforming relational table in metadatabase to XMI document based on specification XMI.XML document is famous format for exchange in network. It's necessary to provide an XML format for metadata in metadatabase. XML parser is based on specification of XMI. This paper has put forward the method of extracting and transforming information from metadatabase and displayed the instances of transformation.Model integration is a hotspot and metamodel integration is effective method of metadata integration. CWM relational package metadata of describe relational database completely. This paper has analyzed the conflict of integration and designed the model integrator focused on relational metamodel. Tool has absorbed the good methods of UMl and schema integration. Paper has analyzed integration conflict characteristic of CWM relational package and puts forward the strategy of solving the conflict and integration algorithms.XML and Model Integrator make the metadata management system more complete from metadata exchange and integration.
