This paper carries on parameter design of machine part based on analysis and research of the machine design and the computer-aided design CAD by AutoCAD VBA. Using the modular design thought, this paper establishs the standard parts database and carries on parameter cartography based on AutoCAD platform and uses the knowledge engineering parameter design method to carry on the parameter design of the machine parts.Its main contents include following several aspects.1) The development of parameter design system of involute cylindrical gears and column helical spring.2) The development of parameter cartography system of standardparts such as bearing, nut, bolt, key3) The development of the size-tolerance dimension system.4) The the inquiry.of the hole-axis tolerance coordination5) The finite element analysis of involute cylindrical gears.Compared with the traditional design, this design achievement will fastly and conveniently help the designer to inquire and draw standard parts ,carry on the parameter design of the machine parts, inquire and dimension commonly used basic-hole , the basic - axis system size tolerance zone and hole-axis tolerance coordination. It will greatly enhance the design efficiency and have a bright application prospect.
