Design Of Mechanical Phased Array Antenna Drive System

The phased array antenna drive is an important part of machinical phased array antenna, whose function is mainly abort controlling the turn of the spiral wine array. Specifically, phased array attenna drive needs the way of antenna bean scan to decide the angle of each unit, and then make the scan at the determined angle through controlling system to measure the muve of each electical machimery. Finally it makes electrical machines and helical antenna work at the same time through turning system. My paper mainly talks about four points. Firstly, it introduced the background of the process. Secondly it pointed out its importance. Thirdly, it analyzed the fuctions and dricing system of stepper motor. At last it introduced my own experiences in detail, including the design of hardware circuit in stepper motor contrulling system,The design of PCB, the programming of MCU, and the crossing communication between PC and MCU.We consist of up-to-down controlling system by PC and MCU. That's to say, the pc is the host computer, leading every MCU called servicer machine, being acattered around the PC.according to the fuctions of the circuit, I designed th process of programming, consisting with communication and controlling.and a part of programming, and discussed the skill of writing programming by languen C.The progress of this testing is determined by PC through RS485 bus. the data resulted from PC and conveyed to MCU by RS485, and the data control the turn of stepper motor.My paper pointed out the interface of programming and discussed the communication agreement of MCU and PC.According to the results of expertments and the theroy , we come to the following conclusion about this drive system pattern plate: suitable for all styles, easy to replace, easy to set up and test, able to enlarge, cheap and good value , and so on. All above characteristics satisfy the technology need of the phased array antenna drive system.
