Disign Of WAP Gate Way Project For GSM Mobile Data Service Of China Unicom

WAP(wireless application protocol) is a set of golabal standard wireless application protocol constituted by WAP forum. Based on the exited internet standards, such as IP, HTTP, XML, SSL, URL, Scipting and so on, WAP has been optimized as for the characteristics of wireless network, and it created a commercial chance maked which enables the existed or new internet service including voice, image, video and data could be visited by the user anywhere and at any time. The user can conveniently link to WAP which conneted to the internet by any mobile terminal which has WAP function, just like the desktop user, to explore the internet information, accept and send E-mail, aquire the information of traffic, stock, weather, news, query telephone book, enjoy the great convenience of the network. The Second Project of GSM mobile data service for China Unicom, is to create a set of WAP gateway and MMSC based on the First Project of GPRS. The purpose is to provide packet data service for the GSM user and to satisfy the need of the market and development. The Project has created 31 WAP gateway and MMSC in all of the country. It started on the Oct, 2006 and finished on Feb, 2007.In the present paper, the problem "Research of the WAP gateway project of GSM mobile data service for China Unicom", based on the ZTE WAP Gateway system, and emphasized on the realization of the project by comparison in order to direct the practice. The writer, as a technique support manager, participates in the project all the time, and mainly completed the allocation of device, planning of the group net program and implementation of the project.
